Admission Requirements for Canadian Students

As a successful employer itself, Willis College understands the needs of industry and its call for skilled professionals. Admission requirements at Willis College have been carefully structured to ensure solid educational and skills assessment consultation at the onset of our relationship with our students.

Although prior computer experience is a definite asset, many students have no prior computer training. Also, transitional skill sets from previous work experience, such as factory work, customer service, retail or restaurant experience, management, sales, project management, etc. are recognized and discussed during the admissions interview.

The pre-requisites for diploma program enrollment include:

  • Minimum of Grade 12 education OR mature student status (18 years old and over and pass an entrance exam)
  • Successful completion of specific program requirements
  • Current resume
  • Admissions interview with our Registrar

To arrange an interview with our Registrar and set up a tour of the College to ensure that this is the type of learning environment that best suits your learning style, please contact us.

Steps to Enrolling

Getting started is easier than you think. Willis College is ready to help you through the process!

Remember, you must possess a minimum of a Grade 12 education OR mature student status (18 years old and over and pass an entrance exam) to enroll in Willis College. However, we invite high school students and their parents to contact us for a tour and a meeting to talk about the future!

Step 1: Contact Willis College to arrange an interview with the Registrar

Let's choose a time that works for you. Allow yourself suitable time to visit. Bring along information about yourself - your past education and work history. Previous experiences are recognized and discussed during this meeting. If you are unsure of what area of study you would like to pursue, we'll assist you in making the choices that are best for you.

Step 2: Update your resume

Bring your current resume with you to your interview. It is a chance to reflect on what your passions are, and what your challenges are. This will assist in determining a program that is a great match for you.

Step 3: Tour the Campus

We'll give you a tour of the campus, introduce you to instructors and staff, and let you get a feel for what the Willis College experience is all about. Take your time, ask lots of questions, and (if available) speak to some of our students.

Step 4: Take a Willis College Entrance Exam

To ensure that you will be successful in our programs, as well as to allow us to gauge your personal strengths and weaknesses, some potential students may be required to take this exam. This will be administered prior to your acceptance to the program.

Step 5: Meet with a Financial Aid Officer

If financial assistance is needed, the Willis College Financial Aid Officer can assist you in completing the necessary documentation and make the right decisions for you and your future.

Step 6: Get Started!

The future is here. Don't put it off any longer - contact Willis College today to get started!

We look forward to meeting you!
